Golf Been. is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using any of our Platform, and then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Golf Been may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. By continuing to use our services and accessing the platform therewith after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Policy.

  1. Collection of Information

    2. We may collect and process information related to you through your use of our platform including, without limitation:

    1. 1.1Information related to your account: We collect process and associate the information you provide to us when you sign up for our services on our platform. The type of information that we collect depends on your interaction with us, but may include without limitation, wherever lawful and permissible, the following: your name, company/organization name, email address, I.P Address (business or personal), mailing/billing address (business or residential), physical location, payment information (which could be the type of banking of financial services you are using), telephone number (business or personal), and any other information that you choose to provide.
    2. 1.2 Information related to your files: Our services and platform have functionality across multiple devices for enhanced collaboration therefore we may store, process, and transmit the information collected from you including any information/files that you may store with us. This information may include, without limitation, your profile information, the size of the files stored, time of uploading, usage activity. Such information may also be shared with other users of our services with whom you may choose to collaborate as well as with third parties with whom we collaborate in order to provide you their services and offerings.

Basis for processing your information: We use this information to improve our services and platform, develop new services and features for your convenience, as well as, for our legitimate business needs. We use this information to enhance our services on any of our Platform and services and provide you with a better user experience. For the purposes of this Policy, Golf Been relies on the legal basis that the processing of the personally identifiable data is necessary to administer and perform our services. In view of the above-stated uses, we rely on our legitimate commercial business interest to provide and improve our services and platform. When using personally identifiable data to serve Golf Been’s or a third party's legitimate interest, we will always strive to/try to balance your rights and interests in the protection of your personally identifiable data along with our rights and interests or those of the third party.

    4. Golf Been may process personal information about you in relation to the Platform for the purposes of:

    • internal record keeping
    • to improve and enhance our services and platform and provide you with a better, more customized experience and ease of access.
    • to periodically provide you with promotional emails regarding our services.
    • providing you with our services;
    • for security purposes
    • dealing with your enquiries and requests;
    • providing you with information or services that you request from Golf Been or, where you have consented to be contacted, for such purposes which Golf Been believes may interest you which may include new offers and such
    • providing your information to third parties whose services you have opted through the Mobile Application in order to enhance functionality and enable you to complete your transactions.

    For reservations we may share your name mobile number with the Club/Manager of the Golf Course to make confirmation phone calls on the day of your reservation.

  4. Disclosure of your Personal Information:

    5. 4.1We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. While we do undertake some security measure however, transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted through our services and platform; any transmission is at your own risk, cost and consequences.

    4.2Since the internet is a global environment, using the internet to collect and process personally identifiable data may involve the transmission of this information on an international basis as well. We may transfer data across national borders. Your data may be transferred to and processed by other entities, affiliates, collaborating partners, service partners and provider, and third parties for the following purposes, wherever permitted by local law: to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, to manage your account, to provide functionality, for business operation to monitor compliance with our policies and procedures, to improve our services, to monitor compliance with law, and for other purposes for which we may notify from time to time.

    4.3We may also share/transfer your data with our venue partners with which you have made bookings and reservations that you have booked to complete your reservation. In events (without limitation) where you may have an enquiry regarding your bookings, we may contact the event partner/organiser/ manager and ask them to resolve it.

    4.4Golf Been shall not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless it has your permission or are required by law to do so. This does not include trusted third parties who assist and collaborate with Golf Been in operating the services, conducting its business, or servicing you. You acknowledge and accept that Golf Been is not liable for any claims, loss or damages arising due to use of misuse of such data by said third-party service providers even if Golf Been has contractually partnered with them for Golf Been’s benefit.

    4.5Golf Been may disclose your personal information where disclosure is required by law or any regulatory authority, or as reasonably required for the purposes to enforce this Policy, or protect its or others’ rights, property, or safety, or where it is in the public interest to do so.

    4.6If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us help@golfbeen.com We shall assist you in doing the same however, we may retain a copy of the information you provide or is collected from you for archival purposes or to comply with any applicable laws.

    4.7If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the address provided. We will strive to correct any information found to be incorrect.

However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other platform. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the platform in question. Under no circumstance, does Golf Been guarantees or implies any control on any such linked or third-party platform and cannot be held liable for any loss or damage caused thereof, by your usage of such platforms. Such usage is entirely at your own risk, cost and consequences.

    We utilize Facebook solely for login purposes on our platform and have not engaged in activities such as sharing content, following pages, liking posts, inviting friends, or tagging individuals.
    Requesting Permission for Facebook Login: We are seeking permission to integrate Facebook login functionality into our app, allowing users to sign in using their Facebook accounts.
    Assurance of Data Privacy: We assure users that no data from their Facebook accounts will be shared with our app. This means that while users can use their Facebook credentials to log in, none of their personal information or activity on Facebook will be accessed or stored by our app.
    User Autonomy and Account Deletion: Users retain full control over their Facebook accounts and can delete them at any time without any impact on the functionality of our app. Deleting their Facebook account will not affect their ability to log in to or use our app in any way.
    Comparison to Google Account Login: Similar to how users can log in to various apps using their Google accounts without affecting Google's services, our app's integration with Facebook login ensures that Facebook's services and functionality remain unaffected by users' interactions with our app.
    Emphasis on Data Confidentiality: We prioritize the confidentiality and security of user data. By not accessing or storing any information from users' Facebook accounts, we uphold their privacy and ensure that their data remains secure and private.
    User Freedom to Delete Accounts: Users have the freedom to delete their Facebook accounts at any time, without any repercussions on their ability to log in to or use our app. This emphasizes our commitment to respecting user choices and privacy preferences.
    No Adverse Effects on Third Parties: Our app's integration with Facebook login is designed to have no adverse effects on third-party entities, including Facebook itself. We ensure that our app operates independently and does not disrupt or compromise the functionality of any external services.

  6. How do we protect Visitor/User Information?

    6.2Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. transactions may be processed through a gateway provider/ our internal wallet system as applicable at the relevant time and are not stored or processed on our servers.

    6.3It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Please ensure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.

    8. 7.1By using our services and Mobile Application, you consent to our Policy. While this platform is open for all ages however, for persons younger than 18 years old, the use of any of our services and platform is only allowed with the valid consent of a parent or a guardian. We understand that you may need to provide us with information belonging to persons younger than 18 years old so as to avail our services, however, you do so at your own legal risk and in such a scenario, the responsibility to seek a valid consent from a guardian or parent shall lie upon you and Golf Been disclaims any and all liability arising from the data/information provided in such an event and you shall indemnify Golf Been for the same. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personally identifiable information without their consent, he or she should contact the Grievance Officer mentioned below.

    7.1You have the option, at any time while availing the services or accessing the Platform/App to withdraw your consent given earlier to Golf Been for the collection and use of your information and such withdrawal of consent must be sent to Golf Been in writing. However, in cases of such withdrawal, Golf Been has the option to refuse to provide access to its services/Platform and App for which the said information was sought.

  8. General Data Protection Regulation (For EU Residents):

    9. 8.1It is for the information of the users that this platform and our services cater to EU residents/nationals as well and that the Terms and Condition along with the Privacy Policy are complaint to the GDPR Regulations to the best of our efforts and knowledge.

    8.2The data collected from the User is the Name, email ID, and the user’s Profile Picture that is associated with the provided email ID. It is pertinent for the User to note that for using the Mobile Application, it is imperative for the User to provide Us with the Name and Email Id.

    8.3Apart from the information provided by the User, the Mobile Application additionally stores the location details (of the Golf Courses played by the User) and the pictures uploaded and shared by the User.

    8.4The information provided by the User is for their own use on the Mobile Application and for sharing purposes with their contacts. The Mobile Application is merely acting as a Service Provider that provides a platform to the User of the Mobile Application to upload, share, tag, display, and disseminate information for his own use and feasibility.

    8.5The information stored by the Service Provider is for the use of the User and in no manner is used by the Service Provider except apart from using it for the services being provided.

    8.6The User can modify/change his personal identifiable information upon placing a request help@golfbeen.com.

    8.7The posts and pictures uploaded, tagged and shared by the User can be modified or deleted as per the convenience of the User.

    8.8It is for the information of the User that the Service Provider is using Google API as a third-party data processor for the required purposes.

    8.9The User using the Mobile Application reserves the right to stop his/her usage of the Mobile Application. Upon informing the Service Provider of the same, the User’s data will be removed from the database within 15 days of such intimation. The User can send the request to help@golfbeen.com.
