Why Golf?

Those who have played this fascinatingly thrilling & frustrating game of Golf would agree that this game possess you in ways you can’t explain, can only experience.

The sight of the Golf ball soaring high gives you an exhilarating sense of mastery and power, like no other.

While at the same time - a game that you can’t beat, you can’t overcome, yet, it has an uncanny way of endearing itself to us.

A bad day at Golf is better than a good day at work, they say.

Golf is the highest form of Meditation. Mind control of a superior order. Free from all thoughts, results in the best shot.

Golf is closest to LIFE. One good shot fills your ego to only see the next shot fly over to the next fairway.

My Golf Journey:

I have been fortunate to have got a chance to play Golf in several countries from USA to NZ and many in between.

I have always wanted to one day chronicle the various courses that I have played-in and put the pictures and memories together.

My best friend Sandip Das suggested that I write a Coffee Table book on my adventures with Golf.

Golf Been came to life:

Sitting down with my lap-top to put ink on paper, attempting to transfer my priceless Golf memories to print, became a non-starter.

That is when I thought of creating an App to record and chronicle Golf Courses played-in, upload pictures, record experiences, rate the course and anything else that I want to remember about the course.

And more - invite my Buddies to the App, create a community of my Golfing friends around the world - and share my memories with them and yes, they can do the same.

When Golfers get together there is always a childlike excitement when they share their experiences of playing in different courses, and if you come across someone who has played in a dream course in some far away country – Bogor, Napier or LEGENDS in South Africa, it immediately establishes a special bond.

That kicked off a very exciting journey of developing an App that can do all of the above.

The idea of the name and creating the Logo were exhilarating experiences - didn’t take too long. We fell in love with both, the moment they came up.

My daughter Kritika fresh from Berkley specializing in Digital / Mobile Innovation jumped in to make it a reality.

The backbone of the venture is undoubtedly our dear Computer Scientist, Pushpraj, the computer brain in the family, who brought in valuable IPR.

My younger daughter Manvi along with Akshar kept a keen eye on the UI, color scheme etc, to make the App presentable and easy to navigate.

Finally, this wouldn’t have seen the light of the day had it not been for the huge encouragement of Sandhya, who has tolerated my Golf outings, valiantly.

We are honored to bring the App to you and hope that you’d like using it as much as we enjoyed making it.
